The Pulse User Group Conference featured more than 20 presenters ranging from Pulse experts, clients, partners, and recognized healthcare author Susan Keane Baker. The sessions involved over 30 topics discussing quality payment programs & government mandates, revenue cycle management, leadership skills, and product tips & tricks to enhance the Pulse users’ abilities to run their practices more successfully. One attendee noted, “The classes and sessions were so informative. They taught me things that I didn’t know about Pulse but some of the classes I feel like even helped me in become a better manager.”
The keynote speaker for PUG 2019 was Susan Keane Baker, author of five books, the first being Managing Patient Expectations. Susan, a former hospital vice president, attained the designation of Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Fellow of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management. From 2008-2011, Susan served as a member of the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. She is also a Commissioner on the Connecticut State Commission on Medicolegal Investigations and teaches at Quinnipiac University.
Ideas shared during the conference included an interactive customer panel discussion titled “Business Operational Challenges”, moderated by Dr. Dar Griffeth, President of Pulse Systems, Inc, and featured seven experts ranging from practice administrators and physicians to healthcare innovators. The panel covered key topics and pain points that many independent practices face today with the changing healthcare environment.
